PT Reasuransi Indonesia Utama (Persero) - PT RIU or known as "IndonesiaRe" is a well-established state-owned reinsurance company in Indonesia. Headquartered in Jakarta, IndonesiaRe offers a full range of life reinsurance and general reinsurance products. IndonesiaRe is a non listed state-owned company and is fully owned by the Government of Indonesia which represented by the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (SOE). IndonesiaRe was first established in 1985 and initially registered as PT Asuransi Ekspor Indonesia (Persero) or ASEI. In 2013, the Company transformed to PT Asei Reasuransi Indonesia (Persero) and renamed to PT Reasuransi Indonesia Utama (Persero) in 2014. In 2016, PT Reasuransi Internasional Indonesia (ReINDO) merger with PT Reasuransi Indonesia Utama (Persero). IndonesiaRe now has 2 subsidiary companies; PT Asuransi ASEI Indonesia and PT Reasuransi Syariah Indonesia. IndonesiaRe's head office is registered at Jl Salemba Raya No 30, Jakarta Pusat

In term of financial performance, IndonesiaRe posted an increase of 13.87% in total assets from Rp7.01 trillion in 2016 to Rp8.09 trillion in 2017. Total life reinsurance gross premium in 2017 increased by 29.76% to Rp1.95 trillion, According to information found in PT Reasuransi Indonesia Utama (Persero) Annual Report 2017 as cited by JobsCDC.com. Referring to its annual report, total general reinsurance gross premium went up 7.41% to Rp3.44 trillion.
